Since the company conducted all data transmission and processing through the UK, David had to file a statement about the violation of a person's personal borders with the Information Office in the United Kingdom of Britain. In the end, David Carroll won the case. Thus, the company paid a fine of fifteen thousand pounds sterling. During the proceedings, Facebook was also ordered to pay five hundred thousand pounds.
