The main character of the film looks like a workaholic. Alison Scott works as a journalist. Therefore, her whole life consists in continuous work: for the sake of money, for the sake of herself and her entertainment, for the sake of her own health. The frenzied rhythm takes the girl away from reality, and she decides to relax by picking up a boy. However, everything is not going according to plan. One drunken date with Ben Stone leads to an unplanned pregnancy. Everything would be fine, but the guy is known as an avid slacker. The girl faces a choice: to raise a child alone and go through all the circles of hell of a single mother, or try to give a chance to a newly-made dad. Alison decides to get to know the guy better.
