The action of the film takes you to the year 1981, both near and far. The Warren family is present at the exorcism of a demon from a little boy named David. Ed, Lorraine and other family members, teaming up with the priest, tried to expel the evil spirit from the child's body. However, everything was unsuccessful. Ed had a heart attack out of grief. However, David's older sister's boyfriend didn't give up. Arnie made a deal with the demon, offering him his soul in exchange for the boy. The evil entity agrees. And everything would be fine.
